MPhil, MSc, PG Dipl Mgt
Julie Hay maintains a small private practice providing psychological coaching, therapeutic coaching, counselling, psychotherapy, challenge psychotherapy – and similar approaches.
What ties these together is the underlying intention of facilitating others to ‘make their own meaning’ – combining transactional analysis, neuro-linguistic programming and other psychological approaches with the latest neuroscience findings in order to help clients develop alternative ways of constructing their map of the world instead of continuing to stay within the constraints of earlier interpretations.
Julie is accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy, the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, and the European Association for Counselling – as Psychotherapist Member UKCP, Member BACP (Accred), and Accredited European Counsellor.
She also holds a Certificate in Psychotraumatology from the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, and was for some time a volunteer psychotherapist in high security male prisons in the UK.
She is a Certified Transactional Analyst (Psychotherapy) with an MSc in TA Psychotherapy. As a Teaching & Supervising Transactional Analyst in the fields of application of Counselling, Organisational, Psychotherapy & Educational, Julie is internationally endorsed to provide training and supervision, and to be an official ‘sponsor’ to those seeking international TA accreditation.
Julie is also an internationally Licensed Neuro-Linguistic Programming Trainer.
She is a Chartered Manager of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), has a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies, and an MPhil for research into the characteristics of effective managers. She has many years’ experience as an ‘ordinary employee’, trade unionist, manager, and consultant.
She is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD).
Julie was one of the five original Founding Directors of European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and served as President 2006-2008 of the original pan- European Board.
Julie offers face-to-face sessions in Hertford, UK (and occasionally elsewhere when Julie is travelling); however most of her services are provided online (Skype or Zoom).
Fees are related to the income of the client so that they are adjusted to reflect purchasing power differentials in economically-disadvantaged areas of the world. Julie charges 20% more than the clients own average hourly income (gross – before tax). She trusts clients to tell her what this figure is – no financial evidence required.
