TA 909 Online – Supervision and Exam Preparation for trainees and PTSTAs

Several people have asked me to run some group supervisions, to include micro-teaches, theoretical discussions, and so on as appropriate. I am therefore going to experiment during 2019-2020 with the following pattern that allows for different times around the world.  I already have some bookings so I know that we are going to have some great cross-cultural, international groups.

Because these will be small groups, they will be in English without interpreters – although I am already arranging to run a group with Japanese interpretation – so if you would prefer a group where some or all participants have an interpreter, let me know and we will see what is possible.

Format

• Wednesdays – GMT/UTC 1000-1200 and/or GMT/UTC 1900-2100
• you can choose either or both times (note: not British Summer Time October 2019 and April-June 2020)
• you can choose one or more of the following:

1. 1. a group for trainees/students (CTA/MSc);
   2. group for PTSTAs;
   3. a group for those preparing for exams  – ICTAQ Certificate & Diploma; postgraduate Certificate, Diploma, MSc; CTA (EATA/ITAA); TEW – Training Endorsement Workshop (EATA/ITAA); TSTA (EATA/ITAA) (choose trainee or PTSTA and/or exam preparation)

• each group meeting every 3 months (2 time options)
• group size no more than 6
• priority given to those who book for any series of 3 sessions with the same group

Dates

• Exam/TEW preparation: 23 October 2019, 22 January 2020, 22 April 2020
• Trainees/students: 20 November 2019, 26 February 2020, 20 May 2020
• PTSTA: 18 December 2019, 25 March 2020, 24 June 2020

Fees

• on the basis that you book for 3 sessions with the same group – an additional 15% will be charged for one-off bookings, which will also be subject to space available
• trainees/students/CTA: UKP 50 for 2 hours – TAlent discounts applied in line with numbeo.org
• PTSTAs: UKP 65 for 2 hours – TAlent discounts applied in line with numbeo.org
• Deposits (non-refundable): 10% if booking a series of three, 20% for a one-off booking
